Things catching up to you and Ebay
Has anyone here heard of someone breaking the rules by buying/selling gold/an item off of Ebay and then being banned for it like 6 months later?
On a similar topic, since pleading ignorance wont work due to the fact that one is asked to agree to the terms of service before there account is activated, is there anyway to "repent" for rule violations? Or should one just expect to be banned regardless of whether or not they were ignorant or "feel bad" about doing it? I know given the population of Guild Wars the second is rather rediculous, but I felt like asking regardless. Thanks for your thoughts. |

If you commit violations of the ToS then you cannot "repent" or make up for them, you will get banned. Bannings can be anything from 24 hours to forever. You can appeal against banning by contacting A.net support, but again it depends on what their investigations on you say. But bans can be undown, as mistakes have been made in the past. |

Yeah I know a few people mistakenly banned for being involved with selling their item to another person who then sold on e-bay.

Thanks for the info.
I also have another question. If someone is banned for buying gold on Ebay and say they give a large protion of the money (100k or more) to another character (giving, not trading) does the second party get banned also for coming in contact with the tainted gold? |
